If you don’t embrace new media marketing methods and find the ones that fit you best (it doesn’t have to be everything), then you’ll be scrambling to catch up. It is about being present – and being involved, and then using those connections you make to get referrals and close sales. I am personally delighted that the list includes convergence and cross media advertising. I’ve been preaching forever that social media should never ever be done in a silo. Hiring a marketing professional who can provide a holistic marketing plan, where social media is just one piece of the marketing pie, is so important.
