Amazon Delivery: Lots of Social Media Marketing Books!

I just received a delivery from Amazon! Some of these I’ve read, some are lined up ready to read. (The ones I’ve already read will be used as prizes in some upcoming training classes. So be on the lookout for invitations to @SocialSonya’s training classes so you can be a winner!) I’m currently reading Crush It! and will be giving a review shortly.
Here is my list:

Tim O’Reilly & Sarah Milstein The Twitter Book
Chris Brogan & Julien Smith – Trust Agents
Darren Barefoot & Julie Szabo Friends With Benefits
Gary VaynerchukCrush It!

Have you read any of them? What are you thoughts on each… I’m loving the simplicity and energy of Crush It!

  1. I have Trust Agents sitting on my desk in the “to-do” pile. It’s in line behind the Hubspot owners’ Inbound Marketing book. Can’t wait to get to it. Let me know how Trust Agents goes for you if you get to it before me (you probably will!).

I’m not sure how long its going to take me – some of these are fairly chunky! Let me know what you think of the Inbound Marketing book! 😀

I’ve read Crush It and 6 pixels of separation – two completely different books in my opinion, but both have some good takeaways.

I’m curious to hear about how you like Trust Agents and Inbound Marketing.

    Regards,

    Alex

I just finished Crush It last night – so I think I’ll start Trust Agents. I’ll certainly let you know what I think 😉 How did you you like 6 Pixels?

I felt 6 Pixels was a little slow to start but eventually gained momentum. I didn’t get a “wow” feeling from it, but in the end it was actually useful. It helped me reflect on some of my own strategies, and that’s quite positive in my opinion. Thinking about it, I found there was more useful content in this book than Crush It – it’s just doesn’t have the same dynamic tone as Crush It.

So overall a good read. I didn’t waste time going through it. 🙂

Thanks Alex ! I can’t wait to dig in to 6 Pixels, but will make sure I keep at it (I have a tendency to stop reading a book if its too slow!) Thanks for the advise.
